murphy13 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Has anyone tried this? With the level of detail in a lot of plastics today I was wondering if the bait would hold up. By hold up I mean in terms of form and action after you melt the affected portion of the plastic. Quote
RSM789 Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 You could, but it would probably be a lot more effort with worse results than if you just used some Mend-It. Quote
cadman Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 If you are referring to fusing ripped plastic worms, or putting on claws back on baits, well I used to use a battery operated soldering iron. First of all you go through a lot of batteries, Secondly it smells. However, it does do the job fairly well. With the advent of Mend-It, I would never go back to the soldering iron. Mend-It fuses it solid with no rework. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Yup, Mend-It and forget it. 2 Quote
