Doc-Drew Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I have found that eating healthy( avoiding processed foods) and exercising (strength training &stretching ) has helped me a lot with arthritic pain. I have read some good things about the spice turmeric as being helpful for natural pain relief also. I am a chiropractor and deal with arthritic patients on a daily basis. Diet and exercise are the often biggest remedies that people are missing. Normal joints should not become arthritic without injury. Injury can be something as simple as a jammed finger that never gets fixed. My advice to you would be to see a chiropractor (I might be a little biased) rather than medicate. If you have any questions or wonder what chiropractors can do for you, feel free to message me. Regardless of what you decide to do, don't hesitate. Pain is the body's way of telling you something is wrong. The sooner you address and correct the problem, the less damage has been done.
Super User FishTank Posted March 25, 2015 Super User Posted March 25, 2015 Having arthritis, anti-inflamitories like ibuprofen work well for me but you should see a doctor. Each pain can be treated individually and differently. Diet and exercise are the best remedies. Strengthening joints with good core exercises will easy pain and inflammation. Oddly, deadlifts worked for me. They shock the nervous system but over do it and you can be in more pain. One other thing that worked was taking a bath in muscle healing salt from Burt Bees. Seems silly but it worked. Also, the hot/cold treatments that some NFL players use also worked but it sucks.
zeth Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 Arthiritis is always reversible if one is open to the solution. Eliminate Gluten Eliminate Dairy Eliminate Meat Eliminate all processed foods Drink 3 liters of water a day Add a lot of leafy greens to your diet Eat more fruit Then eat more vegetables Stop taking pills that only mask the problem. The arthritis issue like all others can only be solved by eliminating the root cause which is always diet related. You will surely then will be arthritis free.

Ignore It, and learn to live with it. 2. Spend thousands of dollars on all of the Snake Oil Cures. 3. Visit your Doctor to determine the type you have and any potential ways to alleviate it! 1

There have been major breakthroughs in recent years that can reduce or halt progression of the disease, relief pain and stiffness. Rather than experimenting with home remedies, see a specialist and dramatically improve your life!
shanksmare Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 As Lund Explorer and others have said - go see a doctor. There are treatments available that can lessen the effects of arthritis. A friend of ours, who happens to be a licensed dietician, was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis at a very early age. There are at least several different treatment options available. She found one that worked and was able to go to the gym daily and maintain her active lifestyle. As Red Earth stated - Lyme Disease is also a possibility. Its just another reason to see a doctor to find out just what is wrong and how to correct it.

zeth Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I'd rather have arthritis. I'd rather wake up every day feeling great knowing that my health is a direct result of my actions in this life. Everyone has their opinions about health etc but when it comes down to it there are facts and there is a whole ton of **** put out by those who would want you to believe what they're saying is truth when it is not. Unfortunately few doctors do not understand the link between diet and disease and those that do wont say anything because they dont want to loose their jobs, or want your money etc. The average doctor has 2 hours or less of studies in nutrition and those 2 credit hours they got in school were likely from a professor that works for Kraft, Dole, Dannon etc all large corporations which have only one agenda in mind and that is to make $$$. So they will say whatever they want and put out false studies about nutrition etc. A little research goes a long way. To not eat meat or dairy is not unmanly and actually it is brave and gods will. We should eat foods that build strength, endurance, stamina, will, positivity not foods that weaken our bodies. Anyways lets not hijack this thread. I was merely attempting to state the things one can do to actually heal their body from the inside out and to avoid/reverse disease including arthritis. I wish Clayton86 the best of luck. 1

Nah, they don't care about your health. They just want your money. And all the nurses and office staff who should know better are complicit in the conspiracy. It's one big evil empire. Don't believe it? Just ask Kevin Trudeau. 1
zeth Posted March 25, 2015 Posted March 25, 2015 I'm not saying anything to crazy. The US has more hospitals than anyone. We have the highest rates of disease. We have the highest rates of animal/product consumption. I didn't say anything that is not a fact. There are numerous doctors across the country that are treating all ailments form the common cold to cancer with diet alone and are much more successful than traditional western doctors. Most of these people do not work in hospitals because they would be fired. There is no money to be made in the truth. A good place to start is trying for yourself before saying a single word against anything. A second palce to start is HERE The third thing to do so one can understand it all is to READ I think I'm done with this topic. It has gotten way to off topic.
Super User Lund Explorer Posted March 25, 2015 Super User Posted March 25, 2015 Does anyone know how old Eulle Gibbons was when he passed away? With all those natural foods, you would have thought that he would be alive at a 110! 1
