bmadd Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I'm going to be making some 3/4 oz football jigs and I want these to be big and bulky. I'll be using silicon skirt layers and I was wondering about how many strands I could fit under a collar safely? I know if I tied them I could fit more but I like to be able to switch between skirt colors and plastic grubs and things. Thanks guys Quote
harshman Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 I've had decent luck with up to 4 pads ( about 80 strands) and a rubber collar. the biggest problem I had was the skirt slipping past the collar on the bait. typically I use 3 pads ( around 60 strands) for all the jigs I make and they seem to work best.
