How Are You Using Your 6'6 Mh Casting Rod?

Time to play around a bit here.  I have a GSX Titanium 6'6 MH rod that I need to figure out what to use it for.  Here is what I am currently using for casting rod purposes:

 

Veritas 7'0 - swim jigs/cranks......my search rod I guess

Veritas 7'3 - Flipping/Frogging

Veritas 7'3 - football jigs/spinner bait/buzz bait

 

My idea is that i use it for skipping jigs, some under hand roll cast stuff, target casting, and top water.......

 

All the finesse stuff I am doing with my spinning reels and have been doing top water too which I suppose I could so with the 6'6.......

 

Feel free to switch things up as necessary.

Those GSX Titanium rods are really nice.  I have a 7' MH spinning one that i use for drop shotting.   Never knew it also came in a casting rod.

Use it for anything you would use a medium heavy rod for. All my rods are either 6'6" or 6'8". I don't have anything longer. I think sometimes we want to get too pin point specific. Absolutely not necessary.

Spinnerbait, close quarter jigs, Texas rigs, chatterbaits, and anything a 7' rod will do but a little less casting distance. The 6'6" MH-F is a must have rod for me as I target cast spinnerbaits meaning I seldom fish them in open water that long distance casts would be needed. I think the MH power with a fast action would be a little too stiff for jerkbaits and topwaters but the single hook presentation will all work well.

I use this mostly for treble hook Topwater presentations and adjust my hookset accordingly. The 6'6" is my shortest rod and works well for walking the dog and pop r's.

Any Top water bait I want to "Work" around docks & wood (not green cover) spooks, popper & chugger type deals.

Most any Texas Rigged Soft Plastic I can think of (pegged & unpegged)

Skipping docks when I chose to skip with casting gear, target casting swim jigs/spinnerbaits, soft jerkbaits around heavy cover, and probably more I can't think of.

My 6'6" rods are used for jerkbaits, and topwater (mostly poppers). I prefer the shorter length for making twitches with the rod tip down.

I only have one casting set up.  It is a 6'6" MH/F rod with a BPS Pro Qualifier reel.  I use it for everything but finesse work and heavy duty punching.  In short, I think it will do whatever you want it to do.

The MH-F is too stiff in my book for hard jerkbaits and topwaters, now a medium power yes but not medium heavy.

Im a johnboat fisherman, I stand 5'10" tall not 6'+ like many pros. Most pros use 7 mh or h fast for skipping docks and pitchin with floro.

  Consider this- im standing closer to the water ,my feet firmly planted on the bottom of my aluminum johnboat below water level. Bassboats are above the water . I hit the water with a roll cast using 7+. 6'6" or even 6ft would allow a more soft underhanded roll cast with more accuracy vs a sidearm cast out of left field somewhere.sidearm cast in my experience are harsh imposing cast. They make too much comotion.

  I dont fish the huge lakes, i fish phosphate pits lined with overhanging trees.

Depends on the action, but a spook, larger JBs, square bills, or in close sidearm spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and swim jigs is how I use mine.
