fishinphilly Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Eagles made a lot of moves and if you look at the backfield as a whole, it is better than it was last year and it costs less and it isn't reliant on one main player. As much as i like shady and hope he plays well, i see how the move made sense. The Foles for Bradford trade has me scratching my head but being i was never a Foles guy, i am indifferent. I think Bradford is solid, if he can stay healthy and he will finally have the luxury of a pretty good offensive line. They shored up the secondary with still some more to do there, got a potential stud at MLB but they are seriously lacking at the WR spot and depth at offensive line is a concern as well. i wasn't a foles fan either i felt like he was a bust and just had a couple good games and your right if bradford stays healthy we might have a solid team this year he was rookie of the year but got held back with all the injuries, (assuming he is the starter) not a sanchez fan either he's very inconsistent, and the WRs are the thing I'm worried about too, I'm a riley cooper fan and jordan matthews had a pretty good year but other than that with macklin out we might have a problem Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted March 15, 2015 Super User Posted March 15, 2015 Let's see how Reggie does here in SF. Perhaps a change of team/venue is what he needs. 1 Quote

As far as cooper goes, he is a total bum but i do like Matthews and Huff. I am sure cooper will be cut after this season though. There is no reason to cut him this year because we would gain nothing as far as cap space goes so might as well keep him on the roster. I wouldn't be surprised if they sign Bowe from KC who was released to make room for Maclin. I like Bowe and think he would be a good fit on this team too Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted March 15, 2015 Super User Posted March 15, 2015 they need somebody though and what they have is not going to cut it. As far as Cooper goes, he is a good blocker but that isn't the attribute i am super worried about from my WR position lol he had too many drops, fumbles and lack of effort plays for me last season. fishinphilly Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 yea he did drop the ball too many times, but we need someone like desean or macklin who's small and fast maybe pick up greg jennings, huff isn't bad but i felt like he dropped the ball too many times for someone trying to make a name for himself but if we do get rid of cooper, matthews can fill his spot being taller receiver in the red zone but we are definitely lacking on receivers Quote
endless Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 Let's see how Reggie does here in SF. Perhaps a change of team/venue is what he needs. I do wish him the best with us. But I do believe if Hunter good to go Bush might be released. I still would like to see at least get another decent receiver. I'm not sold on Patton, Ellington, or Simpson but they are battling for #3 anyways. Curious to see next year if Boldin might hanged them up but that's next season to worry about. I do hope Bowman at least returns to form and I still think 49ers will still try to shop Brooks. Lynch will get more starts if not the start. Now we will wait to see if Smith will hang them up? Need to find his replacement yes they signed Dockett but how long and if he recovered from his injury? He himself is not exactly young either. Next I'm curious to see what we do in the draft? Quote

It would not surprise me one bit if they hold tight, pick up a player in the draft and go hard after Dez next season. Quote

Who knows if Philly still after receiver a few good ones out there. About Bradford though I don't see him able to do the up tempo. Quote

About Bradford though I don't see him able to do the up tempo. the only reason they even made a play at Murray was because Gore changed his mind, if he signs in philly there is no murray here. As far as bryant goes, any team would want him for sure, he is a great receiver. The knock on bradford is health not ability. He has never had an offensive line like he is going to be playing behind so we will see what happens. If he stays healthy, i bet he throws for 4,000 yards and 20+ TD next season. The thing is, I think Foles would have probably done the same thing lol 1 Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 lol at anyone being a riley cooper fan, sorry but that is just too funny to me. nothing personal guy. Ron Parker re-signed with the Chiefs for the biggest contract an undrafted safety has ever gotten in nfl history. Glad the Redskins didnt touch that contract. Jeron Johnson, who backed up Kam Chancellor and Earl Thomas in Seattle is flying into tonite for dinner with the Redskins and a visit tomorrow. People have high praise for the guy, says he would play more but look at who he is stuck behind the last 4 years. Solid special teamer as well. This guy could start for us, we havent had competent safety play in several years. I hope we can sign him to a deal. Redskins also visited with Michael Crabtree i read on twitter...Twitter is the best absolute thing to get all NFL news first and to track it without having to read through articles, 99.9% of things are tweeted before being posted online/blogged, going on air tv/radio, and obviously print. I use it basically as a news wire, but mostly for Redskins and NFL news Quote

Super User flyfisher Posted March 15, 2015 Super User Posted March 15, 2015 I like crabtree too and wouldn't mind him coming to philly. And trent cole, a cap casualty and long time eagles player now with the colts, has his own hunting show. 1 Quote
Hyrule Bass Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 Redskins have signed Safety Jeron Johnson from the Seahawks for 2 Years 3.5 million Quote

Super User SoFlaBassAddict Posted March 16, 2015 Super User Posted March 16, 2015 AFC East is getting stacked with talent! Crying shame there's only one QB in the division..... 1 Quote
endless Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Well our rookie LB Chris Borland is retiring after his rookie season. From what I read he doesn't want to be one of the players with head trauma from sustain concussion? Well that sucks! He had a very good rookie season too. Stevie Johnson went to the Chargers, Trent Richardson in Oakland. WIlfork in Texans. What's with Philly bringing in Tebow? I haven't read up on it just was wondering? Quote

Hyrule Bass Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 i hope the redskins stadium blows up! lol what? why? dont be mad at us because yall got rid of your 3 best skill position players in the last 2 years(jackson, mccoy, maclin), overpaid byron maxwell, traded for broken bradford, and are about to sign tebow plus everyone yall signed or traded for is coming off major injury and surgeries lol Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted March 18, 2015 Super User Posted March 18, 2015 Chip likes to divert attention, i doubt they sign tebow. If they sign Tebow he has to be the 2nd stringer or labeled at another position because he cannot come in to a game for a play or two and then have the 1st or 2nd stringers return to the game. Quote

Bradford is better than Foles if he can stay healthy but the offensive line will help that out a ton, he has never played behind a good line in his career. Quote
