Happens to all of us at some point. Politeness just isn't a common thing these days. Neither is common sense.

If you ever want a great show, just park yourself in a lawn chair with a few beers down here at a saltwater ramp on a nice weather weekend. I guarantee you won't leave disappointed.

Back in the day, a couple of friends & I actually did this many times.

Before we knew Tanning would Kill us - it was sun & fun at the boat ramp -

You could do a whole Reality TV show there . . .

Come to a saltwater ramp down here on a nice weekend afternoon. The jetski guys will make you appreciate almost any fisherman no matter how bad they are at the ramp.

there are no regulations. Just common curtsy and some people don't have that.  Ive had this happen a lot to me. 3 People waiting in line to put their boats in and this nice bass boat pulls up to the ramp.  Scrawny little teenager gets out and runs to this big nice truck that daddy bought him.  He pulls right in to go ahead and back down the ramp so me and one other fella walk up to him about to start backing down and I ask him who he thinks he is pulling in front of everyone.  He goes on saying It wont take me long my boat cranks up fast and I have the automatic winch. We were ticked!! I told him to go on down that ramp witch took him 5 min to get down cause he can't back up a trailer!!  I was ticked and tired of crap like this always happening so when he got out the truck and cranked up his boat I got in his truck and pulled it up the ramp and put it some were it would take him a while to figure out how to get it out.  He was very angry but what was he going to do?  That was wrong of me but I had a serious case of ramp rage!!

But unluckily he wasn't wearing spandex. LMBO!!

Could be considered "auto theft" but it is great that you did that. Good thinking.

As for the spandex, you never know what guys are wearing these days. Or not wearing.

We don't usually have the cut in front people around here as often as we do the guys who don't are just clueless as to how the launching process works. We have a lot of single ramps around here and it never fails, you'll always pull in behind guys who pull up and get straight in line with the ramp and stop. Then they proceed to unload their vehicle that must be packed to the gills with everything they need that day pack it in their boat, then slowly creep it back into the water with someone who holds a rope so the boat doesn't float away instead of just getting in. Half the time these people pull the boat back up onto the ramp itself instead of using the dock, all the while being completely oblivious to the fact that you've been sitting there ready to launch for the past 20 minutes, even before they hauled the first 200 lbs of crap to the boat.

Just remember, you weren't born knowing how to load and unload. Some just need teaching, not bullying. Others need a little patience. Heaven forbid something goes wrong while they're launching - but then they have all the answers too.

Still, my wife's comment was freaking priceless lol.

frankly i was inclined to just agree with you the whole way til you get to that last part and your wife's comment.  seems totally cute, feel like you got the last laugh, but your daughter saw how your wife acted under stress.  as an adult, and more so as a parent, you shouldn't let petty things like this get you to a point to stoop to a lower level in front of a kid.  can't dispute the lady was wrong in how you describe the scene, but the high road is always the right road, especially when setting an example for a kid.

Your remark would hold a whole lot more merit had my daughter been on the ramp. When my wife made that comment our daughter was at the end of the dock talking with a couple we knew from her school. Could not hear a thing.

Get the facts straight and not just your assumptions before you start running "your" mouth at me bro. We have sense not to act untactful in front of our children. Don't need your parenting advice. Thanks!

no worries.........   bro

good luck at the ramp this summer when it really gets busy.  it won't be the last time somebody acts foolish at the ramp.

Your wife's comment was priceless. I don't see anything out of line even if your daughter did here it. I'm sure she would have gotten a chuckle out of it.

So I go to the ramp today. A guy was there with a john boat. Must have been "newer " than me at loading and unloading his boat. I was next after him. This kid was frantic getting his boat in so I could go. I thought, well this was kinda me last week. I told him to just relax and I was in no hurry. He ha d huge sigh of relief, slowed down and got her in the water. ;-)
