Super User WRB Posted March 8, 2015 Super User Posted March 8, 2015 I picked several of these rods to touch and feel at a local tackle show, the Fred Hall show, and they are light weight. For some reason I thought E6X serires was a new Gary Loomis rod offering and was surprised that Shimano makes this series in China. Tom 1 Quote

Tom Though I'll admit this might not be completely unusual, I'm a little confused Tom. Is there more to this most interesting morsel of information ? A-Jay Quote

Tom Over on American Legacy Fishing's website, it says they are "Made in USA". Hootie Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted March 8, 2015 Super User Posted March 8, 2015 I think Tom has confused the new Shimano Zodias rod introduced about the same time as the new GLoomis E6X. The Zodias is produced in China in a shimano factory with Japanese equipment & engineering. The E6X is produced in Washington state at the original G Loomis factory. 2 Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted March 8, 2015 Author Super User Posted March 8, 2015 "The new G. Loomis E6X Casting Rods put the legendary performance of G. Loomis into the hands of more anglers. The most affordable G. Loomis series of rods to date, each rod is handcrafted in Woodland, WA like all G. Loomis rods." Quote
BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 9, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 9, 2015 Yup, the G. Loomis rods are still made in Woodland, Washington. Same as they've always been. Quote
