bassinnoobie Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 What is your favorite hard bait. Kind, brand and model. Quote
ThatFishin'Guy Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 My best producing hard bait last season was the jointed shad rap by Rapala in Perch. Quote
TheSmilingSwordsman Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 I think it's hard to beat a Rat-L-Trap or a Square Billed crank bait. They aren't necessarily sexy but both are proven winners in my boat. Quote
Brian6428 Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 What do you mean by "to go with 'soft plastics'"? If you're just asking favorite hard bait I would have to say a rat-l-trap or Red Eye shad just based on versatility. Favorite to fish is definitely a spook, though. Quote
A KGB Operative Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Storm arashi square bill. What color? I just got a crappie color of tw, its more blue then white in the picture and it made me sad. Also, that little bar on the bill, I shouldn't do anything to that thing right? Quote
A KGB Operative Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 One of my favorites to use last year was a duo realis spinbait 80. Spybaiting is legit as hell Quote
primetime Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 Bomber Long 15 A for spring summer and fall, sebile flatt shad 77 suspending for fishing hydrilla in summer or for long pauses and suspension with a lipless crank in winter or for pitching, plus converting the suspender to weedless model allows you to suspend your trap in Hydrilla you normally would hesitate throwing a worm. They were inexpensive for awhile but are almost $15 each again but I keep buying them anytime I find a deal in case Patrick Sebile decides to let Pure Fishing design more stuff like the action series, glad I stocked up on Ghost walkers, Slim Sticks, Stick Shadd, Bonga Minnows, Cranksters, Slender Eel, Magic swimmers, A cast minnow, Koolie wide lip floater...I forgot a few, oh yea the spoon for shallow water and lipless 1 ounce cranks with willow blade that is worth $20 easy. Owner hooks, glitter filled lures look as if scales are falling off, and the Splasher is best popper, chugger, spitter..love me some sebile and nobody except saltwater guys use em, good with me. Super User Senko lover Posted March 7, 2015 Super User Posted March 7, 2015 What color? I just got a crappie color of tw, its more blue then white in the picture and it made me sad. Also, that little bar on the bill, I shouldn't do anything to that thing right? I was just given one. That little bar make the bait auto-tuning. You'll never have to tune it, it should always track straight. Pretty cool idea. As for the color, to me it wouldn't make so much of a difference. Compared to my KVD 1.5's and Lucky Strike RC2s, that thing has the loudest rattle. The fish will find it anyway. Quote
Super User Bankbeater Posted March 7, 2015 Super User Posted March 7, 2015 This time of year? Probably a 1/2 oz. Rat-l-trap. Quote
Super User *Hootie Posted March 7, 2015 Super User Posted March 7, 2015 Is a football jig a hard bait? Whack yourself in the head with one and ask again. Hootie 1 Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted March 7, 2015 Posted March 7, 2015 If an inline spinner counts, then I would go with that. if not, a Rapala Original Floater F7 in Silver/Black back is deadly on just about everything that swims. Quote
plumworm Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 Hootie, I love your answers. I think both of us have had the same 1/2 oz. whack in the head. Some threads just demand the same whack. 1 Quote
