Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 6, 2015 Super User Posted March 6, 2015 We've still got about 2' of ice on lakes & ponds in the western end of the state. The CT. River, here in MA, is still frozen almost completely across. It's going to take a lot heat to break all that up. But it is nice seeing a seven day forecast with lows above zero and highs above freezing. So there IS hope! Looks like a late opener for the Quabbin though. Quote

We still have to wait until the end of April to bass fish, unless they change the season. The new fishing guide seems to indicate that a new bass season will be announced around April 1st. We can only hope so. Quote
Penguino Posted March 6, 2015 Posted March 6, 2015 Still waiting for the open water!! Probably will have to wait another week though... Quote

Just remains to be seen whether it will be just a change to a year-round catch and release while keeping the same harvest season or make an earlier harvest season as well. I'm thinking it will be the first option. 1 Quote
