Hello,

Want to stock up on different color Crawdads.

I would fish only the smaller sizes of them, as I do only fishing in a small Pond.

The Yamamoto ones are approx. twice the price of all the others on the market, apparently.

Other than great marketing, are they, in your opinions, "worth it" ?

Why ?

If you think the cheaper ones are probably just as good, which brands do you like ?

Thanks,

Bob

Rage Craws are the best IMO but they will start putting a beating on your wallet...

You could also try to fish a jig to imitate crayfish. Jigs won't tear up like a soft plastic will.

Other options include Zoom Speed Craws, Chigger Craws, & Pit Bosses.

Be careful going too far down that road.  While its true at times that small lures are for small waters that only have small fish.....and there certainly are small waters with big fish that like small lures....but those are rare, in my experience.....BUT!.....I've also found small waters that have big fish that like big lures....

For ABW frim OP:

    "jig to imitate crayfish"

New at this.

Could you please give me a few details on how one does this, or what to purchase for ?

Do you mean a "jig" style weighted hook, with a worm attached, or...?

Pix ?

Thanks,

Bob

to answer the initial question, i don't think the yamamoto's are worth twice the price.  i got some on sale a while back and they're good, but i prefer the rage tails which can be pricey as well, but you have to buy on sale!

to answer the question about jigs, look here:
