For those that don't know, my boss lost his right leg in a farm equipment accident the day after thanksgiving. There should be a thread on it and another on some updates a few pages back.

Let me just say this................he's out of the hospital, easing back to work, and doing well...............All a mere 90 days since the accident. Un-freaking-beleivable. He's getting around pretty good too. How good.................well just today HE DROVE TO MY HOUSE and we went to lunch. All I had to do for him was get the wheel chair out of the car. He drives just fine with one leg. Gets in and out of the car on his own, and is trying to get on with life. It's a minor miracle, and he's defying medicine. Heck he even has been out shopping for new machinery for the farm lately. Everyone involved in this is amazed, and he is thriving on the " I am proving you wrong" mentality. We kind of want to pull the reins back a little on him so he doesn't hurt himself, but I think we would have better luck parting the red sea. LOL.

That's a really happy ending to what could have been a game changer. He must be one really tough & determined individual.

There are two ways you could come out of this, sitting around feeling sorry for yourself, and the opposite.   He definitely took a hard turn right into the opposite and never looked back!    Very good news!

I am in awe. Great to hear considering the circumstances.

That's one tough son-of-a-gun right there. I agree about either putting your head in your hands or getting on with your life with the cards you are dealt. I applaud that man.

Great to hear. Sounds like an old fashioned, hard working, 'have to get the job done' American. Great example for all!!

That is great news. My Father-in-law is an 83 yr old farmer and he has put his body through hell with all kinds of serious injuries and he just keeps going. That generation is one tough group.

Great news. That's the kind of people we need in this country. Hard working and no self pitty when life sets you back. . i know a few people with "bad backs" and don't work.... What a Shame, i admire you're boss, best wishes going forward.

Some of the toughest SOBs I've ever met were farmers.

Happy for his progress so far.
