I just noticed this particular spinning rod and was curious if anyone has used for drop shot , light wacky or other finesse applications ...Your thoughts and experiences ?

ML rods are great for very light plastics and tiny baits, also drop shots and other delicate presentations that require sensitivity. I had a 6'3" Evny black MLXF that was phenomenal. Now I want the 7'1" version though.

I did notice Cabela's has their Type ZX 7' ML Fast spinning rod on sale - not sure if they are comparable to the Carbon Lite or not ?

Although I haven't used a Carbonlite I do use a ML/XF for drop shotting and other small baits.

The Carbonlite rod you are talking about, they are not bad rods. They have good feel but for the price point I think there are better rods out there! I have one and I like it with my baitcaster. But would I ever buy another????????????????????????????????????????????

I haven't used a Carbonlite either, but my primary spinning rod for small baits is ML/XF.  It's rated lure weight is 1/16-5/16.  It caught a 4# LMB on a shakyhead last year and numerous 6+# catfish in river current.  Performed flawlessly.
