Doesn't matter if they're 3" or 4", I like the Bite Me Big Dudes.

With or without rattles?

Without. I don't like anything in the way of a hook set.

Not exactly a tube head, but take a look at Owners phantom tube hooks, I use these a lot when flipping tubes...hooks with weight attached by fine braided wire, great for maintaining a horizontal fall, rather than the typical nose down spiral

I use a wide variety as I like different line tie options for the different seasons, but one that I'm looking forward to trying out this season is a 'stupid' jig head I purchased off ebay. they have a quality hook and if rigged normally still give plenty of action to the tube on the fall. For a 90 degree line tie, I like Arkie's for the thin diameter hook and the price. for a 60degree, I've been using Venom, but prefer something with a lighter hook.

I like the Venom heads in the spring, fishing tubes shallow on Finger Lakes. You kind of scoot them along the bottom, quicker than you'd think you should. Much different than deeper, tube fishing or the weedless flipping style. I forgot about those heads. Well made, with sharp hooks.

You do know you can slide a regular ball head jig up in a tube right? I use jig heads for tubes that are 3.5" and under, when I hit 4" I'm usually Texas rigging them but I know a lot of guys use an inside jig head with a 4" tube and it is usually a ball head with a 3/0 hook.

Hooks on "regular ball heads" usually suck. Bite Me and Venom use a sharp, nickel plated hook.
