So i want to put owners on all my cranks, just want some opinions on hook size, keep them the same, or are there benefits with different sizes. Mostly fishing rocks and wood

Little Johns come with Gamakatsu trebles on them. IMO, you're wasting money switching those out for Owners since they're both great hooks.

I'm only changing hooks that need to be replaced, I was checking them lastnight, pretty rough shape

Owner ST-36 or VMC Vanadium Inline hooks. Same size that was OE.

I'll second this.

I won't third that.

I've bent those gamas on moderate size bass, they certainly aren't their better trebles.

As for hook size...stock with 4, and even those are nearly too big.

If you're going with Owner ST36's keep them the same size. Normally the only time you want to upsize on a bait like that is if you use a short shank hook. I agree with the others though, Spro baits come with great hooks. Only change them if they need to be changed.

I have a them and like the hooks a lot myself .. Are you having hook issues ?

Personally, I'm a fan of the Mustad Short Shank triple grip trebles. I learned a hard lesson when I lost my biggest fish of the year last year on some stock trebles on a BPS blade bait. Never again. The gama's are good though, I keep them on my spro cranks. I will use a size 4 or 6 depending on the size of the bait. I like to use a 4 when I can, but sometimes the bigger hooks change the action or can get hung up on one another.

The little Jon md's hooks get caught on each other. The hooks are fine but I put on smaller splitrings

The hooks are too close on the little John and catch each other and the bill. I switch em out for #4 owner ST-35s and smaller split rings, problem solved

I've got a couple packs of those new Owner ST-35's in size 2, haven't fished them yet but I'm pretty sure they will replace all other trebles for me. Well, at least on any bait that I use short shanks with.
