MainelyBASS Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Sorry in advance, not sure where to put this topic. I just found out that my wife is pregnant with twins. Please spare me the "sell your boat", "say goodbye to fishing" routine because I will certainly fish less, but I certainly won't not fish. This is why they made babysitters and responsible dogs to give you a break from parenting to do the things you want to do. So my question is-- does anyone else out there have twins, or even a single baby that they purchased fishing outfits for at some point. Im not looking to buy them off of people, I just want to know where people have been buying outfits for babies that are fishing related. Thanks in advance for your input! Quote

Tony L. Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 My wife is also pregnant wife our first- our little girl is due in just over 3 weeks. She literally just handed me her phone with a picture of a baby t-shirt that had a fishing rod on it with the words "I hooked daddy's heart". She found it on pinterest. Congrats! Quote

DocNsanE Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 First of all, congratulations OP! I have a 2mo old daughter and a 2 year old boy and all I can say is while it can be tiring, kids are absolutely a blast!!! I just can't wait for my little guy to be old enough to come fishing.... That "I hooked daddy's heart" onesie is awesome! I'm going to have to get my wife to buy one now Quote

My son has a shirt that says the same thing. He has Daddy's fishing buddy and Grandpa's fishing buddy and a few others also. Congrats on the little one Bass Pro carries some but they're really expensive. The online search option is the cheapest and easiest way to find them. Congrats to you also OP. Yeah, you're going to have to cut back on fishing time, and it's going to be rough sometimes, but man those good times, little laughs and smiles make you forget about all of it! Quote

Im not looking to buy them off of people, I just want to know where people have been buying outfits for babies that are fishing related. Thanks in advance for your input! Let's look at this from the other side. From someone who is a twin. Whatever you buy them in the way of clothing, fishing related or not, please, PLEASE, pass on the urge to buy them the exact same outfits! Cute when they're small, but in fifty years, those twins are going to be looking at those pictures trying to figure out who is who. If you can, always keep one to the left and the other to the right in all those pictures. No matter how great of fishermen they turn out to be, they will be most thankful for you planning ahead when the cameras come out. Quote
RSM789 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 My twin sons will be 27 in a few months, so most of my memories of baby clothes has faded. I do remember that with twins, any trip to the mall takes 3 times as long, since every woman in the world stops you for a look. On the positive side, it seemed that any correspondence with companies selling formula or diapers resulted in a bunch of unasked for freebes. Also, take the advice about skipping the matching outfits. You can choose a certain color for each, which helps aunts, uncles & grandparents tell them apart... at least until the kids get mischievous enough to switch it up on you. Quote
MainelyBASS Posted March 6, 2015 Author Posted March 6, 2015 Matching outfits is so 2012...we're beyond that, just looking for bass fishing related baby clothes. Thanks guys! Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted March 6, 2015 Super User Posted March 6, 2015 congrats! my best friend just told me he's having twins.... though my wife and i have no kids of our own, my brother has 2 boys almost 3 and almost 1. they are awesome! the older one calls me "unk" and always asks me "when we goin fish unk?" i've found him plenty of fishing related clothes and always buy them when i see them! that and UNC tarheels gear is about all he gets from me! here we are last year with a little river carp we caught or as he called it the "big'un" (and his chicken vest as he calls it AKA his life vest). they are so much fun and remind of what it was like to be a kid in awe of everything! enjoy the times and best of luck to you and the wife.
