Morning all!

I just got my HB 798ci hd rigged into my 15' Decked Jon boat and I'm ready for this d**n ice to melt! I upgraded to the HDSI tranaducer and I'm wondering what settings would give me the best picture?

My goal is to use this unit mostly in sidescan mode to learn about the small private lakes I fish on. What settings would give me the best picture?

I also want to learn to "video game" fish with this unit, and the waters I fish are perfect for that. How to you set-up the unit for that?

Thanks all!

Just the factory Default settings work great for most conditions.

Plus for Imaging, use a Charf Speed that matches the GPS speed.

For the SI range, use a setting that is three times the depth for the best detail. Use a longer range for general searching.

Choose an Imaging color that you can see the best according to the ambient light.

Video game fishing is done with 2D sonar, use the 83/200 kHz setting.
