jjconnaire Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 do they use DRAG sound effects in major league fishing? or am i just setting my drag entirely too tight? lol Quote
atcoha Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 probably too tight. I noticed they fish their drags pretty loose....or adding the effect...I would predict no effects. Quote
BigBen77 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I think that they just set their drag more loosely so a fish won't break their line. Because, they mostly use light line for spinning reels(and I'm assuming that you are talking about spinning reels). Hope I shed some light on the subject. Quote
ColdSVT Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 No but i cringe when they reel against the drag lol 4 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted March 2, 2015 Super User Posted March 2, 2015 No but i cringe when they reel against the drag lol Me Too ~ Like nails against the Chalkboard ! After an afternoon of drop shot fishing and spinning the reel against the drag like that over & over, I have to think that there will be at least some time spent later spinning that twisted mess off and winding on new line. BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted March 2, 2015 BassResource.com Administrator Posted March 2, 2015 It's sound effects, and it's annoying. You didn't hear that during the recent Classic did you? Nope. Many of the anglers are the same guys. I wish they would stop doing that. 3 Quote

Never would have guessed - Pumping in Canned Drag - MLF is taking lessons from the NFL now. A-Jay Quote
BigSkyBasser Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Those pros wail on those reels when a smallie hooks up. I thought Brent Ehrler was going to break off every single fish when they were on Long Pond. At least they don't need to worry about making their gear last like we do. Quote
stkbassn Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 No matter what they use on Major League Fishing it can't be as annoying as Sweetwater, just sayin Quote
