Wanted a gnarly looking 10" 2X4 for my upcoming night fishing season. Came up with this little number. I think its kinda cool. Have also started playing around with some different eyes which are recessed.

Sweet paint scheme. Like the eyes. That thing will either catch em or knock em out if it hits one in the head. I would call it a "night stick" Must be nice to live in a place where you have to have personal protection from the bass. Most fish around here would run from a lure that size.

I would love to be in the boat with you when that thing gets inhaled.  It will sound like someone dropped a bowling ball in the water.  Sweet bait man.

There you go dude!  I always thought that my 5" black w/ chartruse head superspook was a killer night bait.   :-[

Thanks again guys! Matt, good call on the monster can, lol. But this is what I had in mind when I was doing it. A high performance, loud and nasty, double digit crushing MACHINE! haha

Dude that is sweet.  Genious man.  But that color pattern isn't just limited to night.  It would be friggin cool to catch a monstor during the day on that!

How big are those lures and have you been having luck on them?  It's hard to say how large they are from the pic, but it looks freakin huge.  Might be something I'd be interested in if I go to Sugar Lake this summer :D

Thanks Matt and Brian. Brian that one is 10" and 6.75oz. The 8" is 3.75. I agree with you on that not strictly a night bait point, there are actually a select few lakes where I might throw this during the day. Thats the one nice thing about building baits, I dont have to hum and haw over what color to get, I just get them all! HAHA!
