Jraut98 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 what are your guys opinions on the best paddle tail Swimbaits? I'm looking for something I can put on a jig head or on the weighted Swimbaits hooks. I want a bait with a real nice natural action to it. I'm looking for it to be like 4 1/2-5 inches in length. Anybody got a brand in mind? and what's your favorite color? Quote

You don't have any reference to your location, Shad colors are good nearly everywhere. Both the above are the original of this design, Basstrix for hollow bady, Little Crippers for large fin solid body, lots of knock off's, the originals are better fish catching lures. Tom Quote

Joedodge Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I'm getting I to the gambler ez swimmers. I'm fishing them on a weighted swim bait hook. Haven't fished them much yet. But white lightning, red ear, and copper field have gotten some attention. I'm swimming them sub surface and top water. Quote

You can find him on facebook and he can do ANY color combination you can dream of. I had him do a natural shad color (black top / white bottom with silver flake and bloody gills). This along with original Megastrike, I smoked them throughout 2014. Quote

Another smaller bait I've had success on are zoom swimmin' flukes. And I really like the owner Ribeye swimbaits, picked up a few packs when they were on sale at TW for $1.50. They exceeded my expectations! Next I'd like to try the Little Creepers... Quote
riverbasser13 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I like the Zoom paddle tails in bluegill flash with either a 1/16th or 1/8th weighted hook. I started with those because they are only ones I can get at Wal-Mart.I've also used some local made ones (7fifteen) that I like, and I'm waiting on some Gambler EZ swimmers from Tackle Warehouse. Whichever ones I use, they are a big part of my bass catchin arsenal. Quote
