Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 1, 2015 Super User Posted March 1, 2015 Heads up! You can get some pretty decent deals on rods, reels, lines and lures on this website. However, you have to know what you want to buy (make, model & MSR price) and track the pricing day to day, in order to get the best deal. Let me explain what just happened with a recent purchase of mine...I just ordered a Berkley Lightning Shock spinning rod. A 1-pc. 7'6" Med-Light, to be delivered to a local store for pick-up (to save shipping costs). Paid $38.00 for it, 3 days ago. But that's not the end to this story, by any means! When I first saw this rod online a couple of weeks ago, it was only $35.00. Then it jumped to up $42.00 a few days later, when I went back to buy it. Obviously, I was disappointed and did not buy it then. About a week later when I went back, it was no longer being offered! And today it's going for $52.00! The MSR on the rod (and the BPS & Cabelas price) is $55.95, so you can see it's all over the place with Walmart online pricing. You just have to be patient and keep a watch on the item you are looking for, until it's at a price you think is a good deal. Hope this experience is of some benefit to some of you. Quote

Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted March 1, 2015 Super User Posted March 1, 2015 They had Tatula rods for $75 for some reason I still passed I was tracking an Okuma Helios rod and got one for $110 and yes price was all over day to day 147,135,149,125 then when I saw $110 pounced. Quote
Super User new2BC4bass Posted March 1, 2015 Super User Posted March 1, 2015 I picked up 2 Tatula rods for about $95 with tax. Was keeping an eye on the Helios Air (LH model only) for $186 something. Sold out before I pulled the trigger, but price kept escalating anyway. What the heck is that about? The RH model was over $210. Just checked while typing this up. The RH model is now $181.52 and the LH model is in stock at $219.14. I want one so will have to keep checking daily to see when prices switch again. Quote
PitchinJigz Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Wow this is pretty cool. They're selling Tatula reels for $99 and the cheapest I've seen them is $95 and that's on eBay! Quote

Sometimes they are lower. Final price of the Helios at $137.79 plus tax is more than the $140.57 from Redsgear which has free shipping and no tax. Actually bought one of my Tatula rods from Redsgear for that very reason. Walmart's listed price was better, but adding in tax made it cost more. Quote
SenkoGuru Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 They had a Tatula 7'4" Heavy frog rod for $114 I was going to go back and buy it the next day when my wife got home with our credit card and the rod was no longer there. Now it said they do not carry it any more. I guess I missed out on it. Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted March 2, 2015 Super User Posted March 2, 2015 I hate WelfareMart. Honestly I won't even go there for a fishing license anymore. 2 Quote
