I'm looking for a rod that I can throw little pop rs all the way up to pretty good sized wakebaits. I am not very sure if I should get a fast or extra fast.

What size wakebaits?

I don't throw small 1/4 oz poppers but I can throw 1/2 oz spooks and 1/2 oz arashi wakebaits on my 6'8" MH EF rod. It's more of a M than a MH though

I throw some 5-8 in but I wouldn't throw them on this rod. Maybe a 1.5 -3.5 size wakebaits up too 1/2 oz.

Medium light for the Pop R.  Medium heavy for big wakebaits (like the new Spro rat).  I prefer Carrot Stix, but anything that size would be good.

Price range is 150-250 and I want a shorter butted rod for working the baits. I've been thinking about hetting another custom but I can't find a blank that I like.

I have a big bait rod that I throw my big Topwaters on. I'm looking for a all purpose topwater rod for spooks, poppers, small wakes, and buzzbaits

I think we have a couple of sponsors that can help. Both Batson and Mike at DVT

can help you find exactly what you need.

Not sure because I never weighed it. What I can tell you is I have two one mounted with a Calais 200 DC and the other with an Antares HG. Being a 5'10" rod you can make that short targeted cast or launch it into that spot that needs to be approached far beyond your target. You will also find it has plenty of backbone to lock up when you make contact with that larger fish. Whether you wrist roll or pull the rod when using a popper it is right there to respond not to mention how it handles using walking baits. Just a sweet little  rod if you are into TopWater....
