I am making a trip to Bass Pro soon and planning on buying a pack of Shakey Heads. What is the best 1/4 oz shakey head in your opinion? I fish around a wooded botom. Also I plan on puting an elaztech fattyz worm on the back of it.

Since you are going with Z-man you just eliminated every shaky head with a screw lock, and because of that I'd go with either a VMC Rugby head or the Z-man shaky head. I don't even like spear type holders with Z-Man plastics, my fishing partner had Z-Man finesse worms and he was using the Buckeye spot remover with that segmented spear to hold the worm and he was able to stick it in but every single cast he was having to push it in over and over. So now he uses a Rugby head with Z-Man plastics.

Custom cast jigs " closer" shakey head. They're in some shops in central IL but also TW.  Custom gama hook used.

I'll second the Owner Ultra shakey head as well, and I've tried a bunch of them. the centering pin just makes life that much easier, and can't argue with Owner hooks. Only problem is with grass. I haven't found one yet that really performs well in grass.

Save yourself some grief and just Texas rig your elaztech finess worm on a 2/0 straight shank hook and a 1/8oz bullet weight.

The worm will float the hook straight up and down, you will be mostly weedless, and you won't be losing $2 a head when you break off.

Jmho.

Edit: alternatively, you can take a lighter and heat up a screw lock on ANY shakey head and when you thread the elzatech worm on there- it will stay all day.

I looked over the all the shakey heads in BPS near me the other day.  None looked like they could compete with the ones that I've gotten from Siebert and from Megastrike.  There were some 'sleds' from Buckeye that looked pretty good - not classically a 'shakey head', but the best that I thought BPS head to offer.  But, then again, I won't use elaztech at all, so there may well be something decent there for you that I haven't considered with those worms.

I fished Ky. Lake for three years 11-12 -13 where the shakey head is king. I  have at least 100+ shakey head jigs from 7-8 companies. I never found one I really liked or one I hated. My favorite as far as style was the screw type, but I am such a clutz that I had a hard time putting it on straight. However, we caught a bunch of fish on all of them.  Favorite worm? Netbait shakeyhead worm and we threw a bunch of different brands. Only my opinion.
