I finally got around to cleaning up the basement and was surprised to find a brand new Quantum Tour Edition US300 reel from I think the early to mid 90's. I recall buying it for about $100 during the winter but misplaced it soon after.

Any of you guys fish one of these back in the day? I am trying to find a use for it as I doubt it is worth much. 5:1 might be a decent cranking reel.

Would love to hear some thoughts and opinions.

I purchased a 600LTD a while back - more of a collector's item than an actual daily fishing reel.

I have taken it out a few times - but only on sunny days.

It's a decent reel but you're right - besides slow cranking - it's tough sledding.

You really have to want to use it - just because you can.

I have 2 boxes for the 300 size with all the paperwork, took, and extra brakes if anyone needs one or both they can have them if they pay the shipping. I never owned the reel, but came across these going through some stuff. The reel sounds pretty neat. I think its the last us made quantum reel. If try it for deep cranks or swimbaits
