I have had no experience in fishing swimbaits, and want to get started. What is the best way to rig a Zoom Salty Fluke? I fish mostly weedy northern ponds, and need the fluke to be relatively weedless.

Fluke is NOT a swimbait. It is a soft jerkbait but perfect for what you are describing.

I like a 4/0 Owner twistlock (or I make my own cheaper)

As said before, twist lock hook. Also donkey rigged and with an underspin. You can also fish the small ones on swimjigs/chatterbaits. They have endless uses.

Like said, owner hooks w/ cps, fish head spins, or I hear a lot about scrounger heads, it's erratic action with only a hook is killer, dropshot as well.

I guess, about anyway is potentially effective.

Mojo it... You get a bit of weight plus the darting action of the fluke.

A weighted twistlock? Or a regular unweighted twistlock hook?

Tip...

If you use an unweighted hook, whatever size and style, you may want to use a swivel.

Those things tend to twist.

If you don't want to use a weighted hook, you can use a nail weight of some sort...ribbed nail weight, piece of coat hanger, finishing nail etc.

Put it in the back for a natural horizontal fall, in the nose for a more vertical fall, or closer to the tail.

Experiment a little bit.

Casey Ashley rigs them on a under-spin that his dad made for him. If I recall, he caught a couple fish in a tournament this past weekend.

1 or 2 I believe...

All good methods. If I`m fishing open water, often I  nose hook them weightless at  3 to  9 oclock, about 1/4" back with a 3/0 hook.

Okay thanks for the replies. I will probably just use a twistlock hook
