I'm trying to organize my hard tackle this winter.  I'm wondering about storing spinnerbaits.  I have one of those Plano 3600 spinner bait organizer boxes.  When you put them in you have to bend one of the arms down so it stays hooked down.  Does storing spinnerbaits like that cause them to bend and warp over time and lead to them being permanently bent?

Here is the Plano box I'm talking about:

I've got two boxes full and have had no issues.  Some have sat in that box for over a year.  My biggest issue is trying to pull one out of the middle and the skirts get hung up or pinched by the bait next to it.  But still stores them nicely.

 I've noticed that too.

I purchased the 3707 (both spinner and buzz) about a month ago and was also initially worried about that.  But so far in the short time I have had it (I've checked on them a few times) I really see no issues.  It did take me a couple times to figure out how to get them in correctly but now that I figured it out - it seems like a great box.

I can tell you personally.. I have the box style, the cheaper tray, and the one on the video. The one on the video by far is superior.

If you are worried about bringing of the wire over time you are using extremely cheap spinners. Most of the spinners out there keep shape with memory vary well.

But this is a minimal problem compared to other boxes where you pull one and they all pull out.

I've been wondering the same thing. I like the style of bending them down and storing them like that, but I don't want it to have memory being bent down. I've currently been storing them on the hanging rack in my hard box, but I'm running out of room. I was looking into this...

I'm also looking for advice on the best way to store Flipping & Swim Jigs.

4 lb. smallies bend spinnerbait wires!  I'm not worried about that style box (which I also use).

I have one its kind of a hassle dosent fit in most boat storage compartments and dosent hold the spinners very tight at all. Whenever I run down the lake on a little bumpy day or a lot of turns they usually get Pretty tangled.

The box in the video works great for jigs too. I find that almost any style jig can either be held in the groove around its skirt collar, or others you can bend the weed guard down into to slot for the spinnerbait wire.

Holds chatterbaits too.

I may be old school, but I "relieved" my old man of his spinnerbait pouch years ago. Just throw them in, roll it up, and it'll store almost anywhere. Even keep a few extra blades/swivels/skirts in it.

99% of my spinnerbaits are titanium. I have used that 3600 Plano box forever. I think they came out about 8 years ago. I can see cheap wire spinners taking on a "set" but they can be tuned in seconds. I love that box.
