I need to replace the rod tip guide on my 7' Avid MH casting rod. I would prefer to replace it with an Alconite guide like is stock on this model.

What size do I get and where can I get just the tip guide not the whole set ?

                        Thanks ,T

Has any of the tip been broken off or do you simply want to replace it? I'm not sure what size it is, but I would guess it to be a 5-6 tip. I'm sure someone who builds on that blank will know and hopefully chime in.

I sell rod tip kits, they are hardloy. For Alconites, as has been posted Jann's, Mudhole, Binghams, all located on my rod sites resource page and all carry individual tips.

It is a 6 or 6.5 tip size depends on whether you broke the original off (then it could be bigger), or just replacing it. You could also mic the tip for the size, it is read in 64ths of an inch....

Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!!
