scott000 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 what would they be? i wish i had a Lip less Megabass Crank in fathead minnow pattern. Fatheads seem to be every where and ive yet to see a lure like one. Id also like to see some more realistic bluegill pattern lures Quote
Cajun1977 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 every lucky craft and megabass lure out there would be a nice collection Quote
Fishin49er Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Megabass Pop Max. Those things are awesome and the details are incredible, but at 22 bucks a pop probably won't have one any time soon. Quote
scott000 Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 you can easily make a dream soft plastic lure. just pull apart cheap ones and melt them together. im currently making a cray/lizard/tube bait Quote
The_Natural Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Come on, guys! If you are dreaming of something that costs $20 or so...buy it! Save your allowance, mow that extra lawn, or pick up an extra shift at work. I don't really have a 'dream lure', but I think the Lucky Craft BDS series are the prettiest lures in my box, and I do admire them everytime I handle one. Quote
Guest avid Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 My dream lure is one that will catch an 8lb bass in 2006. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted November 20, 2006 Super User Posted November 20, 2006 I'M WITH AVID, WHICH EVER LURE WILL CATCH THE 7LB.+ SMALLMOUTH IN 2007 WILL BE THE ONE. TYPICALLY I DON'T HAVE A "DREAM LURE" BECAUSE I'VE BEEN LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO GET WHAT EVER I WANT. MY ONLY PROBLEM IS HAVING TO DRIVE THIRTY MILES TO BPS TO GET WHAT I WANT. (A SMALL PRICE TO PAY) Quote
basspro48 Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I already have my dream lure. A good ole fashioned black/blue jig, I prefer the Persuader 3/8oz. version. This thing will catch fish anywhere, anytime I ALWAYS have one tied on. Quote

Garnet Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 That perfect bait evertime you cast the fish go out of there way to eat it. Works everywere and only for ME. Garnet Quote
BassFishingMachine Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 A 8-10 inch zoom finesse worm that automatically wiggles itself back and forth like a live worm. And by automaticlly I mean electric powered or something. This would be so beautiful. Or a topwater hollow frog/buzzfrog that actually kicked its feet like a real frog and swimmed on the top looking exactly like a live frog swimming. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted November 21, 2006 Super User Posted November 21, 2006 The most lifelike version of a 12 inch trout you can imagine. Quote
bass109 Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 The lure with the perfect action, that no trout, bass, pike, walleye,Channel catfish,or even carp can resist. Quote
GAMEOVER Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 A lure that would have a soft flexable yet strong body that could take abuse and then some. This lure would be 4 inches in length have two quality #4 trebles and be in the absolute best Bass pattern you can find. It would house two tungsten plates with 10 glass rattles in a top notch weight transfer system for long, straight, and accurate casts. It would be able to dive on the retrieve then when stoped retrieveing the bait would suspend at the very depth you cranked it to and very slowly rise while vibrating on its own with no action being done to make it do so. It would have a tiny switch with a special tool to switch the routes the rattle will be placed. One setting would keep it perfectly horizontal while the other would tip it just enough so it looks like this symbol-> / but not as strong of a tilt. A bait similar to what I said is just about out there.. but expect to see Lucky Craft, MegaBass, and/or Jackall to make it.. maybe even Evergreen.. if ofcourse it comes out. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted November 22, 2006 Super User Posted November 22, 2006 The Lucky Craft Pointer series (78, 100 & 128) are what I consider "Dream Lures." Really, they are perfect in every aspect and they catch fish. What is really amazing is all the specicies that these lures attract: largemouth bass, smallmouth, walley, rainbow trout, German brown trout, stripers, white bass and the list goes on. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted November 22, 2006 Super User Posted November 22, 2006 I wouldn't mind a senko type soft plastic that lasts more than a couple fish...I'm talkin' dozens of fish w/o melting it back together, wacky rigging or anything like that... Build it and they will come! Quote
