ChrisWi Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I ordered some Eco pro flick shake jigs last night along with a few packs of worms. I was wondering how/where to fish these. what are some popular baits for this techinique? Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted February 23, 2015 Super User Posted February 23, 2015 Jackall FlicK shake worms, zoom finesse, bass pro even has a flick shake worm. You can also look up "inchy wacky rig" and get some tips. I personally use them in place of a wacky senko sometimes. Docks, weed edges, dragging the bottom slowly etc. Quote

Super User ww2farmer Posted February 23, 2015 Super User Posted February 23, 2015 Flick Shake/ Wacky jigging is a technique I rely on from the minute the lake thaws out till it freezes up again. My heads of choice are the VMC Wacky Jigs for light cover/spinning tackle, and the Revenge Flipping Wackers for heavy cover/line/casting gear. I K.I.S.S. with the head selection, I only carry them in the color black, and use both in 1/16th or 1/8th oz sizes. The three baits I use the most are the Havoc Bottom hopper worms (both sizes), the Havoc Money Makers, and the Havoc Flat Dawgs. Color selection again is simple for me. Green pumpkin, and a dark color (June bug for the Money Makers/Bottom Hoppers, Black/Blue for the flat Dawg) I also like watermelon red in super clear water, and green pumpkin and/or watermelon esq type colors with purple flake in them. via Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I havent tried out many brands, but the only company i used for flick shakes are Jackall. depending on the conditions, i used either 1/32 - 1/16 oz jig head (note: i am fishing on shore). I only use the 4.8 size flick shake in watermelon candy or sunburn melon as these produce the best for me (results may vary). i used it two ways: as a drop bait by pitching into structures and also like a dropshot but more shakes to the slack. i recommend using a ultra light to a medium light rod with fast action and 4-8 lb test.
