This past weekend found a few LM's surprisingly were of better size, with only a few dinks. Also hit up a peacock spot (really wasn't expecting much due to the cold weather) and found a couple decent ones.

the largies were caught on a smaller sized spinner bait being pulled over some shallow grass and the peacocks on a gold rapala husky jerk over deeper grass beds.the bite seems slow but steady in the Margate area! post-51281-0-52654900-1424695414_thumb.j post-51281-0-35230400-1424695461_thumb.j

Thanks, Thomas

NADA, but that was my first time out there. Someone told me bass are on the west side of the lock and snook and tarpon east.  He said the bass stay deep and the snook are all about live bait. I'll be back tomorrow with live.

Nice fish.. Thinking of fishing the c14 neighborhood canals. Last couple of times I went out I got skunked.

that's actually exactly where I was, Its pretty productive just have to take some time and find spots that produce. Many of times I've got skunked trying new areas

Nice going! It's good to know that there is soft water somewhere in the country.
