Captain America Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I see these all the time, and I don't know what they are called, or how to fish them. Some guy my dad works with gave us 4 plano boxes of gear three years ago and included were a whole bunch of these guys. What are they called, and what is the best way to fish them? Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted February 23, 2015 Super User Posted February 23, 2015 Yamamoto Dt Hula Grub I fish them on open jig heads or a jig head that has a weed guard. Cover dictates that choice. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted February 23, 2015 Super User Posted February 23, 2015 I like fishing Hula Grubs on a bare football head jig. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 23, 2015 Global Moderator Posted February 23, 2015 Hula grub, spider grub, skirted twin tail, goes by many names and it's a proven fish catcher. Most commonly fished on some kind of jighead, but is also very effective on a T rig. Quote
Ozark_Basser Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Probably my favorite soft plastic. My first few PB's were caught on hula grubs. Quote
KayakKid Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I used to rip the curly tails off and fish them like a tube. 1 Quote
Super User Choporoz Posted February 23, 2015 Super User Posted February 23, 2015 I used to trig them, but these are so much better: http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Dredge-Arky-Jighead-462.htm Quote
