BannedForSpamming-1234555 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 That's awesome! How did you have the corn rigged? You were targeting trout with corn? 1 Quote
BooyahMan Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Right on! Absolutely beautiful rainbow. I too went out for some trout today of the sea-run variety (Steelhead) and managed a 12lb doe, but sadly no pics as it came off just as I was about to tail it.When Bass aren't biting, trout are such an awesome alternative. 2 Quote

My brothers and I landed 11 rainbows through the ice this morning, mostly on power eggs. 1 Quote

Just on a tiny baitholder hook then a small split shot about .15 oz, 3 inches above the hook and yes we were targetting them with the corn. Corn works like magic at times. Quote
Delaware Valley Tackle Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Ya it's weird. Only thing I can think of is that the corn looks like eggs floating down stream kinda like beads. 1 Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted February 23, 2015 Super User Posted February 23, 2015 AWESOME! That means if you have some open water in NY ... can't be far away for Red Sox Nation! Congratulations... 1 Quote

Unfortunately for you, and for me, the lakes and ponds still are all frozen shut :/. The stream was like 33 degrees, it was frigid, but it rarely freezes, and has been flowing all winter so far.
