Super User A-Jay Posted February 22, 2015 Super User Posted February 22, 2015 Coming up on 12 noon on this the final day. Fish showed up early but the bite has slowed down considerably. Casey Ashley could be 1 big bite away from the title. Randy Howell is still in the mix but just lost what he feels was a "Good One". On a separate note - just wondering if the BASS officials will ever consider having this Superbowl of Bass Fishing during a time of the year when there is a better chance for reasonable fishing conditions ? The fish are not showing up and this is like watching a soccer game - no scoring. Before they had the live coverage - this type of event really didn't matter as long as they had fish to weight in. But now, if they want people to watch the live broadcast - better fishing conditions (ie warmer weather) might help. A-Jay Quote

Like If I wanted to spend the day in the boat, so to speak, with a particular angler, rather than bouncing around with a few different ones based on what BASS dictates. Quote

I think it's coming - still may be a little ways off - but I do think it's coming. The technology if there - the financial commitment doesn't seem to be. A-Jay Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 22, 2015 Author Super User Posted February 22, 2015 Coming up on 1 PM - live coverage about to come to an end - enjoyed it. It's still very close - anybody's game. The last hour or so you can really see the focus & concentration of the anglers, especially the guys at the or near the top of the leader board. All Business. Good Luck Dudes. A-Jay Quote
curtis9 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 It's a shame the live coverage ends now. May not get to see the winning fish caught after watching a few hours of coverage today. I wonder why they don't keep the live coverage going until the boats come off the water. 1 Quote
plumworm Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I think covering it to the end would take away the hype of the weigh in. They would loose a lot of internet users if we knew who the winner was. Quote
curtis9 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 They blog the weights and update basstrak until the end. It would nice if they had live coverage early morning and in the afternoon when they are actually catching fish, instead of the middle if the day when nothing happens 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted February 22, 2015 Super User Posted February 22, 2015 I personally loved this live feed format. Was so attentive to what they were doing. can't wait to see if someone catches a big one to come from behind. Quote

Reminds me of my home waters in the spring always a challenge. 2 Quote
WolfyBrandon Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Here is a picture of the leaderboard (Unofficial Weight) at the end of Live on Day 3... they still have a few hours to fish. If Rojas or Iaconelli catch their 5th fish, and it's a good one... Watch Out! WolfyBrandon Quote

A-Jay Yeah, my least favorite part... but I guess they got to do something while the anglers get ready. "Are you ready to see the dogs jump?..." NO, I'M HERE FOR THE 2015 BASSMASTER CLASSIC! They should lead the weigh-in with highlights from the 3 days (Live & GoPro) on the BIG SCREEN to build up excitement for the weigh-in. WolfyBrandon Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Every freaking time I tune in online I see dogs jumping into water! Hey, I love dogs, but enough! 1 Quote

WolfyBrandon That's a good Idea - and I would also really enjoy that. But I think they want to save that footage for the edited TV production . . . Instead, how about a live mud wrestling match between Big Z and Old Tommy Boy ~ Right off I'd bet on the Z-Train but Sanders is a kind of wiry - he could break out a Thunder Punch and wipe out the Z . . . . Trek Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I agree. Get rid of the dog show. I didn't mind the High School and College teams. They were bass fishing for the championship. I thought it was pretty cool. But the dog show has to go. Now they could have had the owners of the two dogs jump for distance. I think the fat girl with her crack hanging out her pants would have lost. 1 Quote
