BIG M Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 I'm playing with some 3/8 thick stock now and here are some of the finished product. Quote
bmadd Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Marty those are looking great. I agree, in my head the scales had a more grayish tone to them. Still though...simply amazing Quote
Super User Jimzee Posted March 8, 2008 Super User Posted March 8, 2008 That's what I'm talking about!! You make it real hard for a person to decide. ;D Quote
bassdocktor Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Those look really nice. How often are you making stuff? It always seems like you have something new. Quote
BIG M Posted March 9, 2008 Author Posted March 9, 2008 thanks fellas, I work on cranks every day after work and all day long on the weekends. It's very hard for a 1 man shop to keep up with everything. Quote
Super User 5bass Posted March 9, 2008 Super User Posted March 9, 2008 I could've used one of those yesterday. ;D Quote
fishingdanderson Posted April 2, 2008 Posted April 2, 2008 I like your cranks. I haven't had a chance to really make my own I just paint unpainted ones or repaint old ones. How do you keep them uniform or do you just get them close? Can't wait to try it myself. You and others are so unselfish and I haven't had a chance to tell you how much I appreciate all your contributions on this site. :'( Sorry I got a little emotional. ;D No seriously thanks. Dan Quote
BIG M Posted April 2, 2008 Author Posted April 2, 2008 All my baits are as uniform as possible without using a caliper. I take a lot of pride in my carving and sanding (that's my fav part) and making sure all components are lined up perfectly center. That's called balance, you have to have a bait balanced in order for it to run correctly. Quote
