FishinFool22 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Is the Shimano crucial spinning rod worth picking up for 83 dollars. I seen them on sale but do not know much about the rod. Looking for some input from you guys. Thanks Quote
stk Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I would agree. My baitcasting rod is a Shimano Crucial worm and jig rod. Great rod for the money at 120, better at 83. Quote
Super User lmbfisherman Posted February 20, 2015 Super User Posted February 20, 2015 Yes definitely. Quote
BobP Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 I have a couple of the Crucial dropshot rods and they were worth every penny I spent on them - $150+ for the new 6'8" Med and $80 for the used 6'8" ML I got on Ebay. Nice sticks with a very good warranty. Quote
wallie Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 very nice rod. I'd not buy it at retail price since shimano no longer offers lifetime warranties. is this online deal? Quote

a1712 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 The EVA grip Model's(IM10) will have the Lifetime Warranty. Brian. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 21, 2015 Super User Posted February 21, 2015 Great rod for the money. I would say, go for it and don't look back. Quote
SudburyBasser Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 At $83 I would buy more than one Quote
Tmmytomato Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Absolutely! At $120 it's a fabulous rod as was mentioned by another poster. At $83 you're crazy for not pickling one up. It's an IM10 blank that is super sensitive and strong. This could easily be your favorite rod. Quote
Th3yHateMe Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Should I buy this deal or just upgrade my broken St. Croix Premiere to an higher end one as well as my broken Avid? Or do all three hehehehe?? Help me with this dilemma! Quote
Patrick Morrow Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 Whether to buy it or not depends on how and where are you planning to fish with it. It is not a wise idea to buy something just because it is cheap. That`s why companies make discounts, so that people can buy unnecessary stuff without actually thinking what they really need. 1 Quote

Well I need a new spinning rod because mine broke last outing last year. I plan on using it for shakey head mainly. Quote

Okay, it seems to have good reviews. You may or may not get better rod with the same price, but the reality is the searching and comparing stuff can drive you nuts. I isn`t the problem with lures and smaller tackle because they are so cheap, but when making a bit more expensive buy the variety of choice can be overwhelming. Seems good enough so just take it. 5fishlimit Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 The EVA grip Model's(IM10) will have the Lifetime Warranty. Brian. From the Shimano website: Limited Lifetime Warranty Rods Effective August 1, 2014 the warranty on all Shimano rods is changing to a Limited One Year warranty. Please note that we will honor the limited lifetime warranty on all rods purchased prior to August 1, 2014. They will only honor a 1-year warranty at Quote
Patrick Morrow Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 My girlfriend begs to differ.... I bet you and I do the same thing when it comes to lures. Quote
