Super User Chris at Tech Posted February 22, 2015 Super User Posted February 22, 2015 Yeah, that looks like it'll catch a fish or two, and looks like a good choice to have on the deck in case a school of bass, stripers or hybrids show themselves. I'm curious to see the weight of the included jighead and to see just how slow it can be reeled and still get that action. Quote

Super User Chris at Tech Posted February 22, 2015 Super User Posted February 22, 2015 Looking at this video more... I may have to slit a Super Fluke open right down the length of the bait and see what happens. I'm sure there are more differences in the bait but I guess we're unlikely to be able to tell until someone gets some in hand. Quote

Looks like the plastic on the Manns bait may be softer - but I'm going to try to split a few flukes too Can't hurt and I seem to have a few laying around . . . A-Jay Quote
Super User Munkin Posted February 22, 2015 Super User Posted February 22, 2015 Looks good and I will have to try some. Do they make one in a smoke color? Allen Quote
kikstand454 Posted February 22, 2015 Posted February 22, 2015 I have gotten big into inshore fishing these last two years. I don't use the elaztech saltwater stuff much, but is there any advantage other than the durability? Specks and reds (and Snook, I could imagine) can really tear up some plastics. Durability and buoyancy yes. Mostly though, any lure like this gets HAMMERED by baitfish in the salt. Pinfish and croakers will have this thing in shreds in two casts. The elaztech stuff takes a lickin and keeps on tickin. Also. ... trout and mackerel have big razor sharp teeth. It'd be nice to catch more than one fish per lure. Quote

A-Jay I was thinking very similar. But i Think it would require a bit more than a slit. Maybe cut a big chunk out of the middle. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted June 21, 2023 Super User Posted June 21, 2023 Looks like this lure was a flop . Going through my stuff yesterday , I found an un-opened pack . So now it's tied on and I will at least give it a few cast next time out. 3 Quote
