Super User smalljaw67 Posted February 20, 2015 Super User Posted February 20, 2015 If you haven't got to see the new Reel N Shad from Mann's I suggest you take a look at it on you tube. I think this is a game changer, it is a fluke with a forked tail that swims like a swim bait but no boot tail, it looks even better than a fluke on a scrounger head. Now, the design is cool but I can see these getting tore up easily but it is a pretty neat design, check it out! 3 Quote

Blaker87 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Wow that looks really cool. I'll grab some as soon as I see them on the shelves. My wife already gave me a dirty look haha Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted February 20, 2015 Super User Posted February 20, 2015 That is pretty sweet! Seems as if they circumvented the need for a scrounger head at all. Certainly a lot from a little! I'm definitely going to have to give these a try. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 20, 2015 Super User Posted February 20, 2015 I'm thinkin' no Scrounger head required. 1 Quote

ItsTig Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Sold! Very cool, that video is great. Short, sweet, doesn't even feel like a commercial. The bait just looks so neat and super easy to use. I'm sure it will be on shelves before I can fish again, and I will pick some up. Go away winter. Go away. Quote
kikstand454 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Wow! Awesome! Now. ... if only it was elaztech so I could RULE ALL OF COASTAL FLORIDA! Lol. Quote
travis23 Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I started to post about this bait earlier today. I was pretty excited when I saw the video on YouTube. This would be great for a scrounger or chatterbait!! Quote

Super User F14A-B Posted February 21, 2015 Super User Posted February 21, 2015 Who's the feller in the vid? Josh Paul Elias from Miss. The ole kneel & reel inventor, lol 1 1 Quote
Jay Ell Gee Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 I wonder if the Mann's guys are shaking their heads in disappointment when they went out of there way to make a soft plastic with more action than a scrounger and all anyone wants to do is put them on a scrounger... Lol. 1 Quote
Comfortably Numb Posted February 21, 2015 Posted February 21, 2015 Thats the most unique bait design I have seen in years. Lokks great. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted February 21, 2015 Super User Posted February 21, 2015 I just hope Paul Elias wasn't using the new bait all day because he got skunked the first day. 1 Quote

Lol. That's kind of funny. But for me, the magic of a Scrounger is that it excels on a low & slow retrieve. This new Manns bait when rigged on the stock jighead looks like you'll have to move it along at a pretty good clip to get the same wiggle / vibrating action. So though I obviously have fished the bait, it looks like it will do well hitching a ride on the back of the Scrounger. A-Jay Quote

I do agree, it looks like he is moving that at a pretty good clip to get that action. I fish stained water 99% of the time so scrounges don't really play here, though chatterbaits do. I prefer to bulk them up so fish can find them. In south La, our "finesse" fishing is using a trick worm, lol. 1 Quote

I have gotten big into inshore fishing these last two years. I don't use the elaztech saltwater stuff much, but is there any advantage other than the durability? Specks and reds (and Snook, I could imagine) can really tear up some plastics. Quote
