How are the cables ZX rods compared to ducket ghost, mojo bass, omens, etc.. I am just wondering if I should spend 100 on another *** or 70 (they're on sale) for a ZX. Thanks!

I've used all of them. The *** and zx are forsure the best out of the 4. I love the duckett rods but the ghost just feels cheap compared to the zx and ***. And then the mojo bass feels like a brick on the tip compared to the zx and the sensitivity isn't quite there compared to the others

Even if the ZX was 100 how is it compared to others around the price

Different strokes for different folks I guess. IMO, the Duckett Ghost by far the better rod out of the ones listed but that is not to say the ZX is a bad rod because it isn't. It is nice but it doesn't compare very well to the Duckett. When it comes down to it though it is all just what each of us thinks about each rod, that's why their is so many to choose from. At $69 you will like the ZX but at $99 you should buy the Ghost. The *** is a good rod at the price but I can't fish it because I hate the handle and I agree 100% with the Mojo comment. I would label them as 1. Duckett Ghost 2. Tournament ZX 3. *** ***.................100 other rods and then 104. Mojo

I just placed an order for the 7'2", 7'1", 7'3", 6'9", and the 6'10" spinning model. All ZX rods. I would have bought the new Crankshaft model ZX but it's not in stock. The flea market here will be seeing me post my *** Blacks and Carbonlite really soon.

Not that the Omens or Carbonlites are bad. But, for me, I prefer the ZX rods. For $70, they're amazing to me. They just fit me and work with me the best.

Nice shopping list! I noticed your review on the Cabela's website too!!

This is my present to myself for getting my truck paid off last month. I've had a little piggy bank ready to be sacrificed for the greater bass fishing good. And for the ZX's to go on sale.

And that review is legit! I was terrible at any and all cranking plugs until I bought that ZX and put a low geared BB1 Pro on it. It changed my entire bass fishing game up. Now I throw lipless, squarebill, and medium depth cranks with confidence instead of trepidation. I actually just called Cabela's and added the 7'1" H Crankshaft ZX to my earlier order. That was to resolve the question in my other thread about heavier plugs.

It's been said before but Cabelas shipping is ridiculous. Even with their code, it's still like $53 because of the $8 per rod oversize junk. But, that's still cheaper than driving my truck 4 hours, both ways to get to a store to get the rods in person.

But still, I am so excited. And I just can't hide it. (Yeah, I went there).

only thing i dislike about the zx is the guides

Just out of curiosity what do you not like about the guides?

Got the 7'3" heavy frog Rod. Grips feel amazing and it feels light and balanced. Well worth the 70 buck so far. I'm ready to test it.
