Did some canoe-assisted ice fishing today, it was too cold and I didn't last long (wind chill was around 0 degrees) but I managed a nice rainbow.

Nice looking trout ~ especially while it's sliding around in a buttered fry pan . . . .

How thick was the ice and what bait did u use

Ice was about 3" thick, I took an aluminum canoe on the ice to spread my weight out just in case, because it isn't considered "safe" until you have 4"...The trout ate a minnow suspended under a float (the minnow's intended target was largemouth)
