Skeeter10 Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Has anyone used this reel at all yet? How smooth is it and have you had any complaints with it? It's the silver one with the partial cork grips! Thanks Quote
RustyShackleford Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I prefer my BB1 to it. I felt no difference between the two. and at $100 difference, I'd look into the BB1. Quote
PitchinJigz Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I have it. It's a great reel. Very smooth and casts far. Doesn't require a lot of adjustments between lures. Quote
SDbassin Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I also have one. no complaints at all, to me its really smooth and casts far. I love it. I don't have a bb1 pro but have a super duty and tournament pro, and to me its smoother and casts farther than both, but it is really light, if I put the team lite on a rod that's longer than 7 ft, the rods get really tip heavy, while with my super duty and tournament pro, my rods longer than 7 ft aren't tip heavy at all and balance the rods much better. I use it on my squarebill/shallow cranking rod and its great to fish with Quote
cgs1967 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I haven't used that one yet but own two Lews Tournamnet Pro's and love them. Quote
yakingfisherman Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I was handling the lite speed spool today in store. Honestly, I felt like my lews tournament pro was much smoother/better feel and just built better. But that was only from handling the reel for about a minute. Just my opinion but I'd get a tournament pro. Quote
sprint61 Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 You can't go wrong with any lews reel that is $100 or more in my opinion. Quote
RustyShackleford Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Basically, everyone is saying buy a Lew's that's over $100. We all agree that they're great reels. Quote
ak47soulja22 Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 I have buddies that have the Lews Carbon Fire from DSG and they like theirs. for 60 bucks i think. Quote
