is it just me or does the hook look like it was layed in the fishes mouth.

When I take photo's of my fish I do the same thing so I can see what I caught it on. I set the bait on the side of it's mouth so it turns out good in the photo. Credits: Kevin Bullington

Ancient fishing trick. Land the fish, remove the hooks, then place lure so that its just hanging in the corner of the mouth for a quick picture.

Rapala sure is doing a good job hyping this thing up. Its just a jerkbait!

I wrote a tweet along those lines where I asked what was more hyped, the '50 Shades of Grey' movie or the Rapala Shadow Rap? It is all over the place for sure.

I will admit that they have my attention. At $9, it's worth a shot, versus what we pay for some of the other jerkbaits on the market.

Dick's has a BOGO 50% off going on right now on all lure's, and they are doing pre-orders of the Shadow Rap under it.

Seems like a good deal.

Wish they had this deal in store, I would have a couple right now. Dick's does seem to be expanding what they are carrying this year:)

From what I understand the bait is being introduced at the Classic.

The pros will tell us they used it during the tournament.

Not that the caught anything on it; just that they used it.

Stay tuned. The ads will start coming with photos of the pros in the Classic with the bait in the fish's mouth or just advertising BS so we all run out and buy 10 of each color.

The Bait Monkey awaits you.

Meh its all good lol

If i didnt have a 3700 full to rhe brim with pointers i would give the shadow rap a try.

I mean i liked the husky jerk and the xrap and the shadow rap looks like a mix of those two imo

This Louisiana boy speaks truth.

Tell 'em how the only jerkbait we need in the spillway is a black/gold/orange 2ft diver floating rogue.

But it does look good. I would fish jerkbaits more if we had the clear water to support fishing them. Sadly, that is limited to a couple big reservoirs 3+ hours away as well as some moving rivers that move too fast to fish these.

Cabela's already had these on the shelf so of course picked up a couple. The finish on these lures is really nice for the price point. I'm quite impressed. They look beautiful.

They look pretty good. I've got about $50 in gander mtn gift cards.  If they get some in I'll have to pick up a couple.

That's a sweet deal.  I would jump all over that if it was available to me in Canada
