Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 19, 2015 Global Moderator Posted February 19, 2015 Had a special request for a bit darker, duller bluegill color. Took some cues from some of our gills that come from lakes with heavy weeds that tend to run a bit darker, and a touch of blue for color, and you get my new color, Bream. It sounded ugly in my head, but it looked great once it was put together 6 Quote
ThatFishin'Guy Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 That looks really good. Just seeing everyone's handmade lures really makes me want to try to make my own. Quote
tholmes Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Great looking jig, bluebasser! One question for you, is there an advantage to using the flat-eye hooks as opposed to a regular hook? Tom Quote

One question for you, is there an advantage to using the flat-eye hooks as opposed to a regular hook? Tom A regular eye would require 2 split rings for the blade to be able to lay correctly and Zman has a patent on blades attached directly to the eye. So the flat eye is basically just the best option left Quote
