Need a new spinning rod. Fenwick rods look really nice but I've only ever owned st Croix. Any opinions? It would be for finesse fishing

I can't not own St Croix when I have the option, unless I'm specifically trying something to due using it once from a buddy, or people whom have solid opinions and I've known for quite awhile on the subject. That's just me though, sorry I can't really be much more help than that.

I've handled the hmx and I like them a lot for their price point. I only use my mojo rods for things that sensitivity isnt a factor.

I think the HMG would be better than the HMX because the HMG is the same money as the Mojo. If your finesse isn't going to take you over 1/2oz in weight, I'd give a strong look at the Fenwick HMG 6'9" ML-F or the 7'ML-F, both will work well for you but it depends on which length you like better.

ive only handled the mojo but have a fenwick hmg i also second that the fenwick seems more crisp and alive in  your hand. i would probably go with the fenwick especially if you move up to the hmg
