DINK WHISPERER Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 Cheap strike Kings usually for me. But lately I've been getting brave and started using my Oakley's.
RB 77 Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 The best? Costa 580G. IMHO, there is no comparison. I also use Oakleys for my daily drivers and back Kaenon 100 too.
WVU-SCPA Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 The Costas get the majority of time on the water, but there are quite a few times a year I will take out the Strike Kings. In low light situations I prefer my $15 Strike Kings over the Costas.
Super User the reel ess Posted August 28, 2018 Super User Posted August 28, 2018 I've been looking for some polarized fishing glasses with 1.5X reader bifocal lenses to help with tying knots on the water. I ran across some Orvis ones on Amazon for $80, I think. Couldn't be happier with them. They're great for fishing and driving. They are a little hard to walk in because you can't see what's at your feet. It feels like you should be stepping up all the time. Just not used to bifocals. So I'll hold onto my el cheapo Calcuttas for when I'm not fishing.
robbiez111 Posted August 29, 2018 Posted August 29, 2018 Picked up costas fantail 580 glass green tint on ebay last week for $165. They were as low as $150 but wasent to sure about the seller. Amazing! Have had a pair of costas black tint 580 plastics for 5 years. Got plastic lenses before because i really dont like how heavy glass is especially how bulky costa frames are. But these fantail frames are on smaller side and not a huge height difference with the glass lenses.
zell_pop1 Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I have the Costa Jose in green 580G and ya they are nice with better visuals than my Wileys, but I also have used Kaenons which have a Trivex lens and they seem to me to be just as good visually as the Costas but are a tougher lens like the Wileys.
ItsHardwick Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 I finally broke down and bought a pair of Costas, love them. Should have pulled the trigger sooner. I Forget the name of the frames I got but they’re matte grey with the 580g lenses in mirror green. The difference between these and the many pairs of cheap polarized glasses I’ve had is amazing. The weight of the glass is worth it imo for the upgrade in optics. Couldn’t be happier.
SWVABass Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 If anyone on here is fire/law enforcement/ government employee look into the website of expertvioce. There are some really good deals on costa and govx as well which carry Wiley X and costa.
