ABW Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Nice PB! I don't weigh any of my fish but my biggest was on a KVD 2.5 squarebill Quote
RipzLipz Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Man I was shaking like a leaf when I saw how big he was. I was fumbling around trying to get the net. I just knew I was gonna mess it up, but when I finally got him in the boat I was so pumped up. That day will always be in the back of my mind on any future "slow" days. It only takes one cast to turn a bad day into your best fish ever. Hope it also teaches me to focus more on each cast regardless of what has happened so far that day. Great to hear - it's such a rush to catch a quality bass. One other thing I find that bigger fish typically do, which scares the crap out of me is the last head shake right when I grab that lower lip. Never fails, they just don't wanna give up so easily. Did you happen to have this happen? Again, congrats to you. Hopefully you'll be setting a new one very soon - keep that jig wet until the spawn is done, if you can. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted February 17, 2015 Super User Posted February 17, 2015 Outstanding - CONGRATS ... Now - keep getting that line wet and a 6 pounder will be in your future! Quote

fisherrw Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 My Pb is a 6 pound smallie on a strike king crank and a 7 pound largemouth on the same crank. Quote

He came up twice before i could get him in the boat and had some serious head shakes going on that scared me a little but once I got a hold of him, he had given up i guess...I will definitely have a jig tied on one of my rods at all times for awhile.
