My name is Aaron I am 32. I have been fishing since I was 3. Started out Crappie fishing with my dad and the love of fishing grew from there. I started bass fishing ponds and lakes around central il when I was about 9. Learned to first use a baitcaster at 11. I have always been a student of Bass Fishing. Constantly learning new techniques and perfecting my old ones. I have been fishing tournaments since I was 13. I now get to fish more again for the first time in a few years. Since having kids and all that. But I started back again a couple years ago. I love using Pflueger equipment. Rods and reels. Whether it's bass, crappie or walleye. Mostly just the reels for crappie. I have tried a lot of different brands but love the pflueger brand. They have lasted and they are affordable. If you haven't tried them out.. I recommend it. You won't be sorry. Whether your an avid tournament guy. Or a recreational fisherman. They are worth a shot. Thanks. I appreciate feedback if you try something new.

I will contest that the older supreme xt is a much better reel than the patriarch. ( spinning) anywho welcome

I will agree with that statement tbone. I actually prefer the Sumpreme baitcaster over the patriarch also. Even now. But like both.

Welcome aboard. I'm from Elgin in the north west Chicago suburbs. Huge pflueger fan I'm about to buy a pflueger patriarch baitcaster for myself.

The patriarch is nice. I was always a President fan and still am. I think that why I like the supreme line so much. But Pflueger makes good quality equipment. I am a customer advisor for them. Also have rights to their logo for use. I only wish they still made baitcaster rods that weren't in combos. I have 8 of the Pflueger President rods. The older blue ones with the split grip I use on an everyday basis. I have been trying to locate some more so I have backups.

I also know right where Elgin is. I used to work on cell towers and wireless internet stuff up there

Actually.. Funny story. The first one I ever climbed was in Elgin. In the parking lot of a strip club

Nice to meet ya! I would say welcome, but I am just as new here and wayyyy more new to fishing than you, so just seems odd! I am from the good ol capitol city, but live in east-central IL now. Haven't used a Pflueger yet, but feel like I've pretty much always heard good things. Curious to try the Trion, President, and Supreme in time.

Where do you live in east central il ItsTig? I grew up in My. Zion but live in Cerro Gordo now. My wife grew up in Springfield. The trion and supreme are nice products and affordable. They don't make the President anymore. Except in spinning and spincast.
