If there is an Academy close by, their H2O house brand is a great deal.

Booyah pad crasher and poppin pad crashers are great. Well priced with a soft body. Ill even say they are as good as my livetarget frogs.

Booyah Pad Crashers are the best bang for the buck...

I like the one I have but, they don't have a green bottomed frog which helps. Got a lot less blow ups on the white belly no matter the conditions.

use a magic marker and color the bottom black or green if you prefer.

This works, and for almost any bait really. I don't think you can beat a Booyah frog. Strike Kings ain't bad either. On some frogs that won't walk good, I just trim one leg shorter than the other.

I used and loved Spro for years. Pad Crashers work just as well but are MUCH more durable.

Y'know, considering the thought and engineering that went into them, those new Sebile Pivot frogs are really inexpensive.  I was expecting a higher price point tbh.

Also I consider any topwater under $10 cheap since you don't generally lose them, and when they get messed up it's more of an opportunity to mess with them and customize than throw them away if you ask me.  I have a bunch of Lunk3rhunt Lunker frogs that now have skirt, worm or fur legs/tails, bigger/different hooks different trailer hooks, etc.  Just get some mend-it and let your imagination go wild my man.  My frogs don't die, they evolve.  :eyebrows:

I have Livetarget, Booyah, and Scumfrog Trophy series in my box.  Of all of them, the one I have the most confidence in is the Scumfrog.  They just flat catch fish for me.  They also have a new one that walks the dog fairly well.  Not dissin the other as I have got my share on those, too, but the Scumfrog works for me.

thats IF you don't have toothy critters in your waters otherwise, pike take them readily and/or they gut'em then your left with a lacerated sinking frog...

Yeah I've had that happen to a few via. pickerel, but more often than not they're repairable.  It's a sad day when a frog gets completely shredded though!

I love frog fishing but I don't own many due to the fact that its not all that often I lose a frog.  That and I don't carry every colored frog under the rainbow.  I usually have a black pattern frog, a white pattern, and a yellowish orange pattern.  With that in mind I only throw Spro Bronzeye and Bronzeye Popping frogs one in each of these colors.  I know that they work and do the job well and they just simplify my approach, as well as I can store them in one small utility box.  I use to be a diehard Scumfrog guy.

Ditto

With practice you can get it to walk in place as good or even better than many others.

I just love that little thing.

I've got a box full of Spro's, Live Targets, and Booyahs. I've tried the Strike King Sexy Frog and didn't care for it all that much. I've also got a few others to try this year when frog season comes around. Of those though the Booyah Pad Crasher is my favorite. It walks just as good if not better than the others, it's soft so you get great hookups, the hooks are nice and sharp, and they're cheaper than the others too. I think they're the best bang for your buck when it comes to frogs.

Between the Muskies and Northers that live around me, you're luck to get back a shredded frog. So many times when you set the hook all you see is the line flying back at you like this guy was between you and the fish...  :cut:
