Suspendingjerk Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Do you think my daiwa Lexa 2500 spinning reel will handle the 6lb fine? I have some extra laying around and was gonna spool it up. The lowest rating I can find for the reel is 8lb. If not I will throw it on one of my ul reels. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Sure, I don't see a problem here. You have enough to fully spool it right? 1 Quote

Super User F14A-B Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Yozuri is pretty tame at 6 & 4.. Give it a whirl, if you don't like it, CXX is pretty tame, CX even more so... 1 Quote

If I remember right cxx had a ton of memory on one of my bait casters. Then again it might have been cx. I just remember memory being an issue with p line Co poly on my bc rigs which has me cautioned using it on my new spinning rig. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Silverthread is a great line so is triple fish camo or maxima... Been using these lines a long time & some lines can have more than others, (memory) but it's not a major issue for me.. Lots of guys swear by braid on their spinning, I don't .. Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 I use on my spinning reels with no issues. I do use the KVD Line Conditioner. It does soften it some and it improves casting but only by a little bit. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 I use both #4 & #6 on 2500 series reels. No issues at all. Quote
