Super User Sam Posted February 13, 2015 Super User Posted February 13, 2015 Fantastic. Wish they had a video of the guy's face when he saw what he had on the other end of the line. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted February 13, 2015 Super User Posted February 13, 2015 What did it weigh? I've tried the link twice but it's not loading for me... Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Crazy big fish from TN! What did it weigh? I've tried the link twice but it's not loading for me... 15.2lb on certified scale Jeff 2 Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Thanks 00 mod! That's a huge fish! 1 Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 And on an A-Rig... Well, the old record was 14lb 8oz so, as a Tennessee resident, my ultimate angling goal has become a bit harder... BTW - it's been a while but TWRA shocked up a 16lb 15oz LMB back in 2009 - if it had been caught on a rod and reel THAT would have been the state record ! Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Geez, the A-Rig strikes again.. Maybe I need to revisit this contraption.. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Holy Smokes that's a Super Beast of a Bass ~ ! Congrats to Mr. Keen I love it when a new mark is set - means we as anglers & Stewarts of the water, are doing something right. A-Jay 1 Quote

Super User F14A-B Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 That link worked, man what a record fish, on a Tennesee rig, lol, zoom superflukes, baitfish color on the outside and white ice on the inside. Exceptional!! Quote
jlwest506 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 being from Chattanooga, this is awesome, well except I didnt catch that Bohemeth 1 Quote
Dyerbassman Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 That lake is on fire! That bass is a beast. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 The Alabama Rig simply attracts fish that are otherwise "uncatchable". We have seen this repeatedly on other Tennessee River impoundments, Pickwick in particular. 15.2 lbs is remarkable, but 10+ is a realistic possibility and has happened more often in the last three years than in the combined 80 years history of the reservior system. The common thread? The A-Rig RULES! 1 Quote
Jtrout Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 What a pig! Congratulations! How many hooks can you use on the arig in that state? Quote
bassr95 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 What a pig! Congratulations! How many hooks can you use on the arig in that state? 3 hooks in Tn. Quote
Super User Goose52 Posted February 14, 2015 Super User Posted February 14, 2015 Yeah - three "hooks". You can use a 5-arm rig but you'd have to fill two of the arms with hookless attractors. This image is copied from the TN fishing regs: 1 Quote
Weld's Largemouth Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Woo!!! This gives me motivation to catch the NY state record Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 15, 2015 Global Moderator Posted February 15, 2015 What a monster! Quote

The common thread? The A-Rig RULES! The other common thread: Florida strain bass. TWRA announced they are going to introduce them in Ft. Loudon, Kentucky and one other lake in Tennessee starting over the next year. 8 or so years from now these lakes will start giving up some monsters also. Quote
