Florida has been on fire this year for DD bass. 5 Quote

I'm long overdue for a trip to Lake Seminole.... We were gonna go not to long ago but the house we have in maryanna got burglarized and completely trashed, they took everything that had any value except the stove (probably because it wouldn't fit through the door) 3 Quote
Dylcook91 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 Nope I only really fish here in Jersey. The NJ state record is 10.14lbs, and its been standing for 35 years. If I ever do manage to luck out and get a DD I will have either come close or surpassed it, so my hopes are not to high. Quote

Could've done it again now but Id rather do it with lures and I haven't accomplished that yet Yup, I haven't gotten a 10 yet, but I've seen some taken on big live gills. Fishing a deep lake during the prespawn from shore when a guy next to me hooks his 8 inch bluegill on his little spincast combo and tosses it out. Not more than 10 minutes later he hooks up with a monster. Fights it in, I net it for him, and he pops the hook out and lets it go. Didn't take a picture, mess around, or anything. 8 lbs. all day. He said he has taken them to 10 pounds doing this, all on a small lake that nobody even knows holds bass over 5. 2 Quote
BasshunterJGH Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 No. I've only been bass fishing for 1 year though so that could change. Maybe this year! We'll see. 2 Quote
