Super User Scott F Posted February 12, 2015 Super User Posted February 12, 2015 I have 2 battery compartments in my old Ranger. Both of them are small enough so that the only things that fit in there are the batteries. Quote
Super User BrianinMD Posted February 12, 2015 Super User Posted February 12, 2015 If keeping any metal items back there make sure to cover the battery terminals so the metal can't touch both at the same time. A sure way to have a fireworks show you really don't want to see. Quote

Super User Ratherbfishing Posted February 17, 2015 Super User Posted February 17, 2015 Batteries and several large bundles of fine steel wool. (I don't know why my boats keep catching on fire). Quote
matuka Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Please just be mindful of flammable rags, (or steel wool ), in a tournament my buddies oil rag ignited. Someone behind him had to inform him that he was on fire. It took two extinguishers to put it out. Also, heavy objects need to be secured very well. Another guy jerry rigged a fastener for a spare prop and of course it broke. The flying prop damaged his hull pretty good before he knew it. Quote
